The number of students in Germany has been rising steadily since 2022 and has stood at 2.88 million since the 2025\u201326 winter semester (Federal Statistical Office)<\/a>). Berlin, for example, according to the <\/span>Berlin-Brandenburg Statistical Office<\/span><\/a> show a 2.8% increase in the number of students compared to the 2024\/25 winter semester. Consequently, \u201cas of December 2025\u2014according to a preliminary report from the office\u2014 <\/span>206,458 students at a university [or university of applied sciences] in Berlin registered. This, of course, has an impact on the already strained housing market. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
