Our partners
Bsfs - berlin school for acting
Since July 2020 the berlin school for acting official partner of SBW Berlin. This innovative training institution for actors was founded in 1992 by Frank Klaffke and is a state-approved vocational school. SBW Berlin already had a scholarship recipient who studied acting at this school.
Give Something Back to Berlin
Since summer 2021, our fellows have been involved in various events or ongoing projects at Give Something Back to Berlin, “an association that brings together migrants, refugees, and locals to help build an open and inclusive society.”
GIZ (India, Latin America)
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH “works worldwide for a future worth living” (Vision). Since 2021, we have been networking and exchanging ideas with GIZ sectors worldwide (e.g. India, Nepal, Latin America) and presenting the SBW Berlin scholarship program in online info events.
Help for the Massai e.V.
Hilfe für die Massai e.V. is a small association in Germany that independently implements targeted projects among the Maasai in northern Tanzania and supports existing work.” The SBW Berlin and Hilfe für die Massai collaborate specifically in the search for new talents.
India Trust
Dr. David Pankiraj is a priest in a Catholic parish near Pforzheim and is the founder of the aid project “India Trust – Home for the Children” in the small South Indian town of Sivagangai. India Trust looks after girls there whose family background does not give them access to education and thus to a self-determined future. SBW Berlin supported the construction of the girls’ home.
Bethania Primary School & Bethania Technical Secondary School, Tanzania
The two private schools are under the auspices of the director of the Nehemiah Christian Aid Foundation. Bethania Primary School was established in 2000 to provide educational opportunities for orphans in the surrounding region. This was followed in 2014 by the Bethania Technical Secondary School, which aimed to provide qualified training opportunities and promote the learning of practical skills. StuFen project
Program existing since 2015 through students of the International Psychoanalytic University, which supports persons with refugee experience in finding a suitable university, in choosing a study subject, applying for a study place and with questions during their studies. Since January 2016, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) has been funding the project as part of its Welcome Program. Through the SBW Berlin Scholarship for Refugees, both organizations strive for an exchange regarding the search for new talents.
Our partner Puente Nica e.V.
Our partner Puente Nica e.V. is a non-profit association that promotes intercultural exchange between Germany and Nicaragua. In addition, Puente Nica initiates and supports educational and cultural projects in Nicaragua and awards the so-called Enrique Schmidt Scholarship to talented, socially engaged Nicaraguans. Through this, SBW Berlin also supports some talented students in Nicaragua.
Teach For Nepal
Teach for Nepal focuses on spreading education in Nepal and is committed to “ending educational inequality in Nepal, beginning with a two-year Teaching Fellowship at public [und vor allem ländlichen] schools.” With the help of some online information events about the SBW Berlin scholarship program, Teach for Nepal and SBW Berlin are working together especially in the talent search.
Universities in Berlin and Potsdam
We are in active exchange with various public and private universities and universities of applied sciences in Berlin and Potsdam regarding our talent search and our scholarship program, respectively, and inform them continuously about the guidelines, the requirements, the application and selection process, and other news regarding SBW Berlin and the scholarship program.
