VierWändeFinden

“VierWändeFinden” project

Together with our scholarship holders and our partner organizations from Germany and abroad, SBW Berlin is committed to a better social world. We are therefore delighted to present a new social project that we are working on together with the Neukölln district office have been working on for a while.

What is “VierWändeFinden”?

In many large cities in Germany, including Berlin, the housing shortage is growing.* SBW Berlin and the Neukölln district office help homeless people who have lost their home for various reasons to find a new one. As guests participating in the “VierWändeFinden” project, they live in safe and free accommodation provided by SBW Berlin. They are also supported by an SBW Berlin scholarship holder and the SBW Berlin team. Together, we provide our guests with advice on finding accommodation and other everyday issues.

How can I take part in the “VierWändeFinden” project?

The guests are selected both by the Neukölln district office and finally by SBW Berlin. They are then accepted into the project for a limited period of time. The aim is for the guests to proactively participate in the housing search and (independently) find a permanent apartment after 6 months.

Start of the project

Within a few days, we were able to welcome the first two guests taking part in the “VierWändeFinden” project. They have already moved into the shared flat available. They each have their own room as well as a shared kitchen and bathroom. We look forward to hopefully being a helpful support for them in the coming weeks.
